Community Service

The focus for this month's charitable project is Harvest Hope Food Bank's Peanut Butter Drive.

Harvest Hope is looking to the community to "Spread the Love" and donate 1,000 jars of peanut butter.  It is one of the most frequently requested items by food banks because it is kid-friendly, shelf stable, and protein rich. Please join us as we contribute to the collection; and remember to purchase plastic jars!

Harvest Hope has also set up a special donation site for SCAGPO supporters  who prefer to make monetary donations:

https://give.harvesthope.org/campaigns/14329-sc-association-of-governmental-purchasing-officials

The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion, and education.  They began in 1981 as a result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia.  Since then, Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties of South Carolina. Harvest Hope distributed over 22.9 million meals last year and fed approximately 40,425 people a week.

Thank you for your continued support of our charitable projects. Your contributions this month will go to a great cause.  From their simple beginnings, Harvest Hope has continuted to increase the scope of its operations and now provides food, comfort, and hope to hungry individuals and families in the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Greater Greenville regions of South Carolina.
