About Us

The Coastal Carolina Association of Governmental Purchasing Officials became an official organization on January 1, 1978. The first meeting was held in Charleston on January 17, 1978. The name of the organization was changed to the South Carolina Association of Governmental Purchasing Officials in late 1979. The association has continued to grow since its inception in 1978. Today's membership stands at over 600 members from all areas of governmental purchasing.
